Message Ok, first off, HUGE thanks to eric (mywhitett) for the help..definitely couldnt have done it w/o him. Now, for those that dont know, my old tranny had bad synchros, so i decided to replace it with a new, beefy 97 trans, and at the same time switched to an rps flywheel. Throwout bearing also needed replacing, however, i didnt know trannies came w/ throwout bearings, so i now have a brand new one if anyone needs it. Got it all back together tonight, with no extra bolts, and feeling confident about the whole process as it went very smooth for it being my first time, and eric's second. Started it, and no odd noises or anything,...so that was reassuring. Btw, the trans had fluid in it already (i asked a couple days earlier) the only part i and eric is concerned about is the feeling of the shifter. It is VERY notchy. Sounds more like its coming from the tranny more so than the linkage or anything. The only thing i can attribute it to is the fluid in there, b/c it sounds like its the synchros. Now, i dont know who has driven their car after a new trans was installed, but i'd like to know how your shiter felt. I wouldnt think the clutch needs adjustment, but if anyone believes this might the problem please enlighten us. Any ideas are welcome....and maybe, this is just normal,..but neither one of us think so, it just doesnt feel "right". On another note, it looks like the oil pan gasket needs replacing, but i wasnt about to tackle that, i wanted it back together, so i'll put that on the list of things to replace. And i also decided to wrap my downpipes with exhaust wrap. I did not do this initially for some reason, so i was able to get that off my mind by wrapping them. now my leg wont burn when the car gets hot. Time to hit the dyno again, see if i get any good results from the flywheel.

It is ridiculous claiming that video games influence children. For instance, if Pac-man affected kids born in the eighties, we should by now have a bunch of teenagers who run around in darkened rooms and eat pills while listening to monotonous electronic music.
